Challenge your imagination. Rethink how you design spaces with the thoughtful composition of mass and void. Go deeper to find new ways to play with light, bounce the light off of walls, filter light through slat partitions or lattices, or double down on sensational sight lines with glass partition walls.
As industrial designers, we were exploring the options allowed by various all-glass and steel-and-glass wall partition systems. While we liked many of them, we felt constrained by design possibilities and the absence of 21st-century innovations like concealed hinges.
We imagined a wall partition system that would allow our interior design partners to create visual interest in their residential and commercial projects that would be otherwise difficult to achieve with solid walls. We imagined a partition system that would be compatible with trimless pocket doors, allowing architects to create a sense of unity (or intentional visual contrast) in a building. We imagined a wall partition system that could create a luxury fashion boutique environment for walk-in closets. We imagined a wall partition system with elements that work with concealed door jamb doors.
We re-imagined wall partitions as an integrated modern door system, with visual aesthetics carrying from one wall opening to another, across floor-to-ceiling filomuro doors with concealed door jambs, and glass interior pivot doors. Yet, we haven't stopped in our pursuit of perfection, in our pursuit of allowing our amazing architect friends to do one key thing: To create exceptional modern architecture.
